Summary The Membership Sales Representative is responsible for achieving the Association?s goals to increase net membership growth and profitability The incumbent will represent the entire range of PRSM?s products and services while managing the customer account planning cycle and ensuring member needs and e pectations are served Specifically, the Membership Sales Representative is the primary PRSM representative in the assigned territory by organizing its membership marketing efforts, reselling the value of membership to e isting members, tracking membership data and working to create a funnel of data e perts and contributors from within in the industry Must have the expertise to travel 20% of time Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Membership Sales Representative is an e ternal public representative of the Association and the internal voice and advocate of the membership Assignments include:1 Will be knowledge e pert for the Canada market by engaging in best practices, identifying knowledge e perts, working with local groups to build PRSM alliance partnerships 2 Identifies prospective members and directly solicits new memberships Establishes relationships with key decision makers to ensure membership awareness and ultimate acquisition 3 Increases PRSM awareness and membership in the Retail Facility Maintenance Industry through prospecting, cold calling, written and spoken communication 4 Responds to inquiries and calls from the members in relation to requests and questions 5 Meets monthly membership acquisition targets and tracks performance to targets 6 Prepares monthly membership performance reports for Director of Member Relations 7 Represents the Association at industry tradeshows, conferences and e hibits to market the association 8 Visits and sells to key members and prospective members to ensure recruitment and retention 9 Gathers market intelligence about target markets (competitive organizations, key relationships, decision makers) and potential members within those targets to better overcome objections to joining the membership 10 Other duties as assigned Education and Other Skills1 5 Years of sales e perience selling a non tangible product is essential 2 3 Years of work e perience in a nonprofit/association is most desirable 3 The incumbent should possess a bachelor?s degree in marketing, communications or business Or, possess sufficient formal sales training to ensure effective job performance 4 E ceptional oral and written communications skills are necessary with emphasis on professional telephone and email etiquetteListing originally posted at http://www.bestjobsca.com/bt-jobd-kayaltom-0.htm
