Due to our growth Rally is seeking an experienced, motivated Sales Engineer / Technical Account Manager (TAM). The ideal TAM candidate will be a proven Sales professional with a strong track record of quota over-achievement selling complex solutions into the large enterprise (LE) market across Canada. This is a pivotal role in executing against Rally?s overall North American go-to-market strategy and will be accountable for ensuring that business goals and revenue targets are consistently met or exceeded. As a Rally TAM, you will act as the liaison between our customers and Sales teams, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of technical guidance pre- and post-sale; this includes gaining a thorough understanding of the customers? technology environment, advising customers on the most optimized means of integrating Rally product into that environment, and offering subject matter expertise on the ideal Rally products, services and configurations to drive highly effective Agile transformations for our enterprise customers.As a key member of our sales team, you must thrive in an environment that lives and breathes Agile, is highly collaborative throughout all levels of the organization and is powered by team members with passion and drive for customer and company success. As a member of the high-performing Technical Account Managers, you must have intellectual curiosity, love to continuously learn and share knowledge without ego. Responsibilities include: Partner with the customer to ensure Rally product and Agile success through the entire lifecycle of the Agile implementation, transformation and on-going usage.Team with sales to attain revenue and quota objectives.Lead technical product presentations and demonstrations to executive- and management-level audiences.Drive Rally product evaluations to technical sales wins.Prepare RFP/RFI responses.Collaborate with your sales team to define, execute and evolve account plans for products and services sales that benefit both Rally and the customer.Coach customers on Agile and Rally best practices.Drive and accelerate account penetration.Keep up to date on Rally products and services.Identify resources to facilitate additional sales, training and consulting.Collaborate with the local Agile communities. Qualifications: 3+ years experience in a customer facing role: sales, sales engineer, consulting, product management/marketing, training.3+ years experience in a technical development-related role: software engineer, QA, business analyst, product/project manager.Strong understanding of Application Lifecycle Management / Software Development Life Cycle.Experience with Agile principles, practices and processes such as Scrum, XP, TDD, Lean, FDD, DSDM, Kanban strongly desired.Exposure to HTML, JavaScript & Ruby (minimum, "ability to code using" is desired)Experience with challenger, consultative, and/or solution selling techniques.Excellent presentation, demonstration and facilitation skills for leading technical product demos and trials.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good listener.Experience with creation, customization and delivery of consulting, coaching and/or training.Team player with strong interpersonal skills to work with sales, consulting and support in a dynamic and innovative company environment.Personal drive and discipline to work and engage as a remote employee.Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience preferred.Fluency in French and English highly desirableAvailable for 50% + travel.
